Five Point Suns

1. When I Fall asleep

My soul leaves my

Body behind

It floats away to a dark

Midnight sky

Where stars multiply

And fates are decided

Where My fate is sealed

The Crone Calls “Now is the time”

The Mother sings “It’s your choice”

The Maiden whispers “It won’t be alright”

And my soul falls from high atop a five point sun

To the Earth where things

Grow and Die

And my soul hears the cry

“there is no other way”

Stars fade back to blue and I awake

Already Decided

2. While I am sleeping, my soul comes back to me

Whispering of wars

Fought over constellations and dreams

Where Orion breathes fire and the Earth slips away

Fashioning swords from stardust

And broken satellites

To fight for Hope’s desires

Bandaging wounds with Time as

Though he could heal that

Damage that’s long been done

Blaring warnings, as if it would change, of

Crone

Mother

Maiden

While in a midnight slumber

It all comes screaming back to me.
